Today at 10am we held an Anzac Service to acknowledge the historic events of the past. We were extremely privileged to have such an important guest list.
Distinguished guests who attended were:
Mayor of Marlborough: John Leggett
Former Mayor of Marlborough: Alistair Sowman
President of Marlborough RSA: Ross Cooke
Vice President Nelson, Marlborough, Westland RSA District: John Forrest
Minister: Padre Terry Terrill
and other representatives of the RSA.
The students represented the school extremely well and the guests and myself were extremely proud of them all particularly Ollie L and Millie B who stepped up and read the Rapaura Roll of Honour.
Our mayor, John Leggett, spoke highly of the our school song and how he enjoyed the children singing.
For those who are attending the Anzac Service on 25 April, we have two students carrying a wreath for our school.
