Y7/8 Technology Challenge Day

Rapaura School and St Mary’s participated in four technology challenges to see who the winners were.  I managed to watch the spaghetti tower and the ‘No Squashed Tomato’ challenge.  Each team was given a list of materials and a time to create and design a winning challenge.  The spaghetti tower was judged on the height of the tower including the tower that could hold the marshmallow. The ‘no squashed tomato’ challenge had the students creating a basket that held the tomato which was dropped from a height on a string so that the ‘tomato’ didn’t break.  See video link below.

Congratulations Natasha, Ollie L, Jo M, Joe P and Violet as overall winners of the day.  This team will go on to challenge the other winning teams.
