Bassett Room Camp 2021

As we arrived at Tahunanui with 14 excited children, 3 parent help, Miss Avant and myself, I knew I was in for a fun three days.

We unpacked and headed to Rabbit Island to meet Richard de Hamel who supported us as we biked around Rabbit Island stopping off to learn about  fishing, using natural materials to drill, and making a fishing net out of harakeke.

We finished off the first day with a swim at the beach, well some did, some stayed on the beach.

Next day we went paddle boarding, Flip Out and to the pool in Richmond.

Final day we finished with mini golf, hydro slide and bumper boats.  To finish we had a play and lunch at the park and headed back to Blenheim.

Thank you Miss Avant for a great camp and to our parents Chris, Loren and Michelle.
