Our students

A Rapaura School student has the reputation for ability, resilient,  and being respectful. Visitors often remark how self-assured our tamariki are and notice our older students nurturing and caring for the younger ones. Our juniors grow up feeling valued and cared for and in turn, become kind and empathetic seniors themselves.

Our students are high-achievers in the academic, sporting, and cultural fields and we are proud of them. Equally we are proud of – and committed to – providing a place for all children to succeed, irregardless of age, stage or ability. At Rapaura every child is a star.

Our parents

We value our parent community as our students’ first teachers. Our open door policy encourages active participation from family members and although there is no pressure for whanau to spend time at school, we often have parents and caregivers helping out in the classrooms, outings into the community, on school camps, at sporting events, as fundraisers and as sport coaches. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have such dedicated, active families supporting their children and believe this partnership directly impacts on the happiness and learning of our tamariki.
