20 September 2021

Congratulations Ruby R and Rapaura 6-aside Y7/8 team.

Our Monday morning started well with Ruby R sharing the news of her successes over the weekend.  Ruby R was recognised as the most improved junior girls player from all Y7/8 Marlborough teams.  This is a huge achievement and one that Ruby and Rapaura School are very proud of.

I asked Ruby what has led to this and she said, “It’s the determination, dedication and passion she has for hockey.”

Ruby is part of the winning 6-aside Y7/8 Rapaura team who also came home with the winning cup.    The players in that team are: Zara C, Issey O, Elsie W, Dane W, Maz I, Freja B and Isaac (from QC).

A big thank you to their coach Dave C and manager Sarah D who dedicates a lot of time coaching and organising the team.  This dedication has certainly paid off this season, well done.
