Bassett Barracuda launching

What a great morning Bassett Room had at the Picton Foreshore with the launch of their boat, The Bassett Barracuda.  The excitement, mixed with a huge feeling of success, was a sight that I am so pleased to have been part of.

The class had a great morning launching their boat, working out how to co-ordinate the paddling, balancing so that everyone felt safe and what was the best paddling strategy to move forwards.

A huge congratulations to the students and Miss Avant, for surviving their first 2019 Inquiry.

A big THANK YOU to Shiloh supporting in the kayak, James J, Dave C, Jeff F, for assisting with the building of the boat,  Adam who captured the launch with his drone, and those that helped supply the materials for the boat, vineyard posts, Ben M and Sanfords for supplying and delivering the mussel floats.

The money the class raised from their bake sale was put towards a shared lunch for the supporters and students.  They agreed this was a great way to acknowledge those who helped with the process.

Come along to the Learning Celebration to see the boat, photos and hear the stories of the great day.

Carrying out the final touches before the launch.
Success, Bassett Barracuda is on the water.
