We have had an array of parents coming to speak to our students about the ways in which they have been innovative which has led them to become employed in something they are passionate about. We’ve heard their journeys and stories. Thanks to Prue Adams from Pru & Co Ltd, Hamish Matheson, local accountant, Hannah Lavender, interior design, and Michelle Munro with her mum Brenda and aunty Margaret who have recently launched a new business of supporting 5 year olds going to school, School Start First Impressions Marlborough. Michelle highlighted that this new initiative was a registered charity and funded from grants and donations. Michelle and the other trustees are not paid as they see the importance of all money going to the equipment which is passed on to the children to ensure they are ready for school.
It is great to hear from our parent group and for the students to understand there are many different ways in which a business functions.
