Farewell Charlie, back to Kaikoura.

Friday 9 December we farewelled Charlie P who had been with us for a couple of weeks while he escaped from Kaikoura and its devastation.  Charlie had a fantastic time at Rapaura School and made many new friends in such a short time.  Charlie S and brother Will S had a great idea for the Rapaura students to donate a Christmas present for the children of Kaikoura Suburban School.   4 boxes later Charlie and mum Andrea headed off.  Great work Rapaura families!

We also had the Christmas pop-up shop organised by the Bassett and O’Dwyer Rooms.  They raised a phenomenal amount of $260 dollars which they also felt was best for Charlie and his school friends.  Charlie was very grateful and explained how his friends would be so happy.

A great team effort Rapaura:)
