It was so nice to be able to attend an inter-school event in the current climate and see the students from the schools enjoying and sharing their stories.  A big thank you to Giselle Otway who organised the event with the support of the Marlborough Tennis Club.

This year we are very excited to share the results of the three competitors Rapaura School entered.  A huge congratulations to Issey O (9-6) and Max S 9-8 (7-5) who won the Y7/8 Marlborough Primary Schools competition.  We are also very proud of Pippa S who came third.

Timing allowed me to watch some of Issey’s game and wow the power and precision certainly was evident.  Then Max lined up on court 1 and what a game.  The boys played for over an hour and the skill, emotions, energy and determination that was shared was a new level for me.  The boys played 9 rounds and a tie breaker.  The tie breaker was won 7-5 to Max.

We are very proud of our three players and their results of today.  Congratulations.
