A new edition to our playground!

It was like the swish of a magic wand and next minute there was a playground!  The children left the playground end of Term 1, 2017 with no changes.  They will walk in on Monday 1 May to see a brand new edition to the already fun playground of Rapaura School.
A big thank you to FORS and Board of Trustees for outrightly funding the new piece of apparatus for the children to build skill and strength.  I can vouch the upper body will get a good work out having climb to the top basket to have my lunch!
Thanks also to the team at Playground Centre and Craig from Hire a Hubby, Nelson, for their organisation and accommodating the preparation and installation of the Eagles Lair.
I look forward to Monday to hear the whoops and wows of the children as they walk in for a total surprise.

First stages of clearing site.
Digger clearing the 8.5 sqm site.
Removing the tractor tyre.
Digging the holes for the poles.
Concrete setting.
The Eagles Lair waiting for the Hiab.
All in time for lunch!
