We had a very successful and exciting morning as we unveiled our new school mural.  Paura M started the event welcoming the dawn/day, blessing the mural and welcoming the school community.  I shared how a visual was something I had been working on for a couple of years. The journey started from a wero (challenge) I identified when I participated in a culturally responsive course.  Our new classroom was built and left the perfect canvas to be illustrated.

Tui Johnson, artist, worked with the students capturing their interpretation of our school mihi and from this she created this beautiful piece of work.

We are all very proud and already it has lifted our school to a new level.
