It gave us great pleasure to recognise two of our Y8 students as young leaders at Friday’s assembly.  Jake G and Jonty L have the proven qualities of young leaders as they have represented their class as Prime Minister and Speaker, captains of sport teams, coached younger students and always willing to step up when asked.

Two Westpac representatives came to our assembly to present this prestigious award and the boys were very grateful.

The annual BLAKE Awards have been taking place since 2005 and recognise outstanding New Zealand leaders who follow in the footsteps of Sir Peter and continue to exemplify his extraordinary kiwi ‘can do’ spirit.

Well done boys and we know we’ll see your leadership capabilities continue in the future.
