Whites Bay 2020

Another great community day for us as we travelled to Whites Bay with the whole school and a great group of parents.  The students chose rock pools, playing in the sand, boogie boarding, swimming, cricket, rock climbing and laughter.

A huge thanks to the staff for their continued support and energy they give to organising the day and to our wonderful parent community who help with transport and supervision.

    Coleman Room:
Samuel W – The water was warm for swimming and the day was more enjoyable than I thought it would be.
Charlotte – I like how we were smashing the shells and catching the fish.
Lachlan -There was lots to look at, at the rockpools.
Olivia – I made a sandcastle and put a bug on top.
Trae – I found glass shrimp in the rockpools.
Lily – Grace, Rose and I made 5 bridges.
Finn – I caught fish in the rockpools and hermit crabs.

Examples of Coleman Rooms writing following Beach Day:
I went to the rock pools there were fish and glass shrimps. I caught a fish and a hermit crab. The hermit crab bit me and the fish spiked me. My pinky turned red and bled a lot.

I woke up in a rush. I packed my bag and headed off to school. We started to get into groups. Then we headed off to Whites Bay and had morning tea. I chose my activities. I chose rock pools, they were fun. I saw Toby catch a hermit crab, it was cool. He showed the teacher. On the second activity I played rugby. We drove home.

On the way on the windy road, we played Hungry Hippos. Finally we got to Whites Bay, yah. We sat and lay our blanket then went back to the car and got our trolley with our beach stuff in it. Pippa and Lofia sat in the trolley. Phoebe screamed as she saw a big fat bumble bee. Evie, Mia, Ella H and I cried out with laughter. We walked to the rock pools. Finn caught a glass shrimp and two hermit crabs.
We went back for lunch and then I went swimming. It was cold so I hopped out quickly and got dressed. I went and build sand castles.
