This is another of Rapaura School’s amazing traditions. Part of the tradition is to acknowledge the unforgiving past tragedy of the loss of Olivia Hope. Olivia’s name is on the pencil case which adds another whole meaning. It is said the pencil case may have been Olivia’s as she was a past Rapaura student.
The case is given to a girl from the up and coming Y8 cohort who portrays the school’s values and a good all-round citizen. There is much discussion and reflecting and this year we are proud to say Millie is the valued recipient. Each year group signs their name on a wooden slate. Within the pencil case there are a number of wooden slats dating back to the 90’s.
