Y6 Leadership camp – Pine Valley 2018

What an incredible group of young leaders we have in Marlborough!  50 Y6 students from Tua Marina, Spring Creek, Grovetown, Mayfield, Blenheim and Rapaura School’s joined together Wednesday afternoon to start their 2 day Leadership Camp.  The collaboration and co-operation from all students was invaluable as we watched all students grow over such a short time.  They participated in many leadership activities and have come away being able to articulate what makes a good leader and areas they each identified to continue to develop.

I was the lucky staff member to attend and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

A special thanks to Marlborough Boys College as we had the Head Boy, two deputies and Arts Captain come and talked to the group about leadership and their journey of how they got to be the leaders they are today.

I would also like to extend a thank-you on behalf of the group, to REAP Marlborough for funding the travel costs.  We are grateful with how you continue to support the tamariki of Marlborough.
