The hammers are singing against the chisels as the 17 Y8’s leave their final mark on the school’s Plane Tree. This is a tradition of the schools that has been happening for more years than we can imagine. Every passed student who visits has fond memories of doing the same.
It is common for us to see initials tidied up by students after leaving the school gate as they wish for their mark to remain.
The spectators came to watch the tradition. Ferg was very impressed and cute with his Rapaura School hat.
