Visitor’s to my office

I am so lucky I get to see and meet many interesting people and characters in my role.  Today I had some, almost life size, puppets come and meet me.  Apparently Charlie, Tilly and Libby are going to share a legend with their puppets.  Can’t wait for Learning Celebration, 30 May 4 – 6pm.

Chess Tournament

A team of eight players represented Rapaura School at  Richmond View on 13 May to play against other schools in the Inter-school Chess tournament.  Once again, the results were outstanding and one of our players coming home as junior champion again, well done Maz I. The other players all picked up medals and/or certificates.  A […]

Girls only quick rip Rugby tournament

Tuesday 7 May, two teams represented Rapaura School at the Girls Only Quick Rip Rugby tournament.  There was some outstanding play and great collaborative team work.  The all girls tournament allowed our girls to excel in a sport that they don’t always have the opportunity to play. Once again we had outstanding support from our […]

Inter-school cricket

A windy but rewarding day of cricket was held yesterday at the Renwick grounds.  Rapaura team, made up of Y5-8’s, faced Bohally first and then Fairhall.  I watched some of the Rapaura vs Fairhall match and it was great.  There were run outs, catches, and very good fielding.  Rapaura went into bat with 148 runs […]

Marlborough Swimming Sports

Another great day was had at Stadium 2000 where we saw great participation and results from our swimmers.  It was pleasing to see all of our swimmers making the finals in their race.  Relay teams performed very well.  Y5/6 mixed gender freestyle and medley 2nd and 3rd.  Y7/8 mixed gender freestyle and medley two 2nd […]

Port Nelson Triathlon

Once again I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to support a group of 20 Y7/8 students of Rapaura School, when they competed in the Port Nelson 12 & 13 year old triathlon at Rabbit Island.  Last time our school entered this event it was known as Andrew Jones Memorial triathlon so it was […]
